Our mission
This Association was created to foster positive and meaningful relations among Caribbean Americans and friends of the Caribbean living within the Greater Las Vegas community and surrounding areas. Our mission is to promote the cultural, civic, educational, and recreational activities deriving from the Caribbean experience. In addition, we aim to encourage and celebrate academic achievements through scholarship and mentoring programs.
Educational ExcellenceThe Greater Las Vegas West Indian American Association (GLVWIAA) is dedicated to the advancement of academic achievement. We are devoted to empowering our youth and providing them with the tools necessary to succeed. |
Cultural DevelopmentWe seek to leverage the unique cultural assets of the local community for the benefit of the continued economic and cultural development of the West Indian community. |
Social activitiesWe facilitate various social and cultural activities, including the arts to encourage creativity and to stimulate innovation among our youth and our community at large. |
